Buffalo HC Maurice Linguist to coach DBs. NFL and SEC coaching experience and supposedly great recruiter

Getting two HCs to take assistants jobs is pretty good for DeBoer

So I guess it doesn’t matter that his Buffalo team was bad as him as HC, and his DBs were bad at Dallas.

Nice pull from the mighty Buffalo football program! Best assistant in the SEC already! Maybe people would be a little more civil with y’all if you didn’t feel the need to overcompensate and break out the dancing bananas for a complete unknown hire

He's from Texas.

He was a Co-DC at Michigan under Harbaugh and the CB coach for the Cowboys in 2020.

He's also coached for Iowa State, Mississippi State, Minnesota and Texas A&M ! lol

They both were likely going into next season on the hot seat. I think Linguist is a better hire, but I’ll be interested to see how the DeBoer guys mesh with the Saban guys.

You don’t coach in the NFL without superior knowledge of the game. He has been at Texas A&M and MSU in the SEC along with Baylor and Iowa State… he will be fine

They feel like they have a great shot at an interim to Head Coach scenario fairly soon

Matt House coached in the NFL. What’s your point?

Signed, Matt House. You might as well have copied and pasted his resume.

Starting with Cam Cameron, I can name 10+ LSU assistants who I’ve wanted to run out of town who coached in the NFL. The league is a nepotism factory regarding coaches

And they still don't really know it.

From January until May of 2021. So he didn't even coach a full practice at Michigan.

Do you even research? He was at Michigan a couple of months….then Buffalo hired him. He never even coached a full spring at Michigan much less an entire season
