Makes sense to have Coach O on staff with Napier entering next season on the hot seat.

Orgeron is one of the best interim coaches in the business. He’ll step in and guide the Gators to a respectable finish to their season once Napier is fired sometime in October.

This is a good way to refer to him if he does go there. Sounds like Coach Awful if you say it fast.

O would save Billy’s job and bring much needed chemistry and unity to your program. He’s a great coach and truly loves Florida from what I’m told.

I’d hate to see this happen.

So I can't recall any team ever offering him a head coach or coordinator job. Yet he lands the head coaching job at LSU. Then after coaching them to the 2019 championship he still has zero head coaching or coordinator offers.

Has this ever happened before?

I think he got a raw deal at LSU. Wouldn't mind seeing him at UF.
Sources have spotted him with one of these:

There is a clause in the buyout agreement that O has to make one appearance a year in support of LSU for the term of the buyout agreement which runs through 2025. Therefore he is still under contract with LSU.

This would probably need to be renegotiated with a reduction in the buyout amount if O was to take another coaching job. Of course, LSU could hold him to the agreement essentially blocking any other coaching opportunity during the term of the contract.

Looks like someone was thinking ahead when the Buyout Agreement was drafted.

It takes two to tango. Who said he wants to coach? Every time his name is rumored, he puts word out saying he's enjoying retirement
