Would be a good hire for us; he was an assistant on the last coaching staff to win a Super Bowl and obviously can coach defense.

As a Head Coach, yes. If Dallas hired him he’d be one of the best DC’s in the league again.

He would, at worst, have a pretty good defense. At best, an elite defense. I think he's a high floor guy and a good hire.

Taking time off after coaching the vikings for so long. I don't think the game has passed him by.
He always had good to great defenses. Plenty of teams would love to have Zimmer.

Also, he lost his son to alcoholism in Oct2022. I bet he could have had DC jobs if he wanted, but after losing a son, he probably needed time off.
