This is completely wrong. Batteries do perform worse in the cold, that is true. But the biggest draw from the batteries is when the car is spending energy at above a certain baseline rate, say 12kw/hr.

Sitting in the car running the heater will be running at 3kw an hour or so. For a tesla model 3, that's like a month of run time.

Take the lubed-up oil d out your mouth and maybe you can think better.
