I'm saying this b/c "Democracy" is some magic word our rulers are evoking when talking about human rights and currently, Ukraine.

In terms of making government decisions, some sort of majority rules paradigm is still the best possible model without resorting to anarchy.
That’s why neither House of Congress passes anything without some sort of majority. By Constitutional convention, the House is simple majority and Senate *can* be simple majority but also has the option for several types of super majority.
