I'm from Bamaland. My family are mostly Auburn (grandparents, uncle, mom, brother) alums. My dad teaches at Auburn. I catch plenty of hell when we lose to them, but they always cheer for us when we're playing somebody else (as I do for them).

A lot of Bama fans can be supremely obnoxious about it. The alums less so than the hick hangers-on. But, there's a sort of ridiculous superiority thing they have going that is just intolerable -- like Yankees fans.

I love my Tigers, and I don't want anyone to think LSU is a school of a-holes. So I don't talk a bunch of crap. We like to win. We love our team, and we will do our best to make you lose to them. We're definitely rowdy, and we take football seriously. But, we mostly like to have a good time. I love that we have a reputation that we'll invite you over to tailgate no matter what your team is.

Just a footnote:

After that asswhoopin we took Saturday, I was workin in the yard Sunday and my LSU flag was still flyin. Some random bammer, I have never seen before ever, decided it was a good time to pull up in front of my house and talk football. He said, and I quote "Heh, Heh, what happened to your boys last night?" In an obvious gloating and cheerful mood. I just laughed and yeah we sure stunk it up.

Anyway. I thought about it afterwards and not too long ago when I was a proud South Louisiana resident, I would have never done something like that to any fan much less a transplanted Bammer.

I mean complete strangers feel compelled to taunt me in my front frikin yard???

Oh well, just thought I'd share.

Hey a-hole I frickin make a living here. My home is here. I wasn't outside BDS tailgating, I was in my own fricking yard minding my own damn business. I would not roll up on a strangers house and talk shite. I dont know about other LSU fans, but I would not. So take your 12 posts and frick off!!!

FWIW: If families from Louisiana stopped patronizing your wonderful beaches, then that local economy would suffer, genius!

Southern Belle, there are a lot LSU fans in and around the B'ham area. There are enough of us that the Bammers do not give us a hard time. You can see LSU flags flying in people's yards, LSU car tags, nat'l champ decals on a lot of vehicle's on the highway. Drop in sometime...

The taxes I pay SAY that this is as much MY state as it is yours, arse-hat...

--But otherwise thanks for the lovely word picture you've painted for everyone here to enjoy... it's a true masterpiece!

And I shall call it:

"Life with GUMPS"

or wait! Maybe it'd be better as:

"The Crimson arse"

This is typical of those assholes...they cant friggin help themselves, I think they are taught this shite at birth.

I have a buddy who is an Auburn fan and he cant even go to the store to buy beer Sat with his AU shite on without them harassing the hell out of him. People like this guy and the one who posted up a few threads are the reason why everybody in the conference hates their arse.

If they go undefeated you cant stand to be around them (Saban is god, etc.) or if they lose here come the excuses (bad refs, probation, Shula's players, etc).

Oh give me a break. Not bothering Bama fans in LA. What a load of crap. I have to say, my visits to BTR have been less than cordial when I have a Bama hat on. No different than anywhere else. I say this to residents of Alabama. If u dont like it, I-10, 65 and 20 are open year round. 5 or 6 hours of travel and your troubles are behind you and you can live amougst your own kind and be much happier, as we will be. Youre not going to hurt our feelings by leaving OUR great state. ALso, you can go on down to FL for the vacations. We dont care for you in Gulf Shores either. Thats our beach and always will be. you just borrow it sometimes.

And just exactly what makes this YOUR state....the Bama diploma hanging on your wall? I seriously doubt it. Bama fans of your mentality have most likely never seen Saban or the Tide on anything other than a foil covered antenna TV. And as far as you being hasseled when you have an Alabama hat on....probably so, because you were attending a FOOTBALL game. Even so, my husband is an Alabama fan and he wore his Bama hat to the LSU spring game this year, and no one gave him a hard time. But me, on the other hand, can't even have an LSU key ring without some smart-arse redneck making some rude comment about it. SOOO, take your wanna be 12 championships, shove them up your butt and go Bubba it up with YOUR own kind!

I know how you feel. I went to Wal-Mart after church and my LSU flag was on my window. Some toothless wonder in overalls with a BAMA hat on, strolls up to my car and says, "WHOOWEE your boys really gave you the blues with that whoopin' they took, didn't they." I just looked at him and smiled, because I didn't think it was right to flip him off or cuss him out while still dressed in my Sunday best. I really do feel your pain, but am glad I am not alone.

you have any connections to the DA's office in Baldwin County??? I got a ticket over there after the AU game...first one ever and i need it off my recorddd

BUSCH....I would love to help you out, but I don't know any law enforcement in Baldwin Co. I live in Mobile County. Plus, with the electronic tickets they use these days, they turn them in right away, so it is virtually impossible to get a ticket fixed. I think you can go to traffic school and it won't go on your record. Sorry again....

Me too. awesome..Well, my bama in-laws bought their future grandson an LSU baby chair..It hurt them because they told my father about it on the phone and he said, "AWEE, Thats frickin great." to my bama in-laws. Too bad LSU lost this bad this weekend but my bama in-laws were in town this weekend to prepare the room in LSU stuff. That's priceless.

TheLSU....I love it! But I must say I am a little jealous. My in-laws blatantly told me that none of their money would ever buy anything LSU. I say whatever, because my mother-in-law only shops at the goodwill and some of the stuff she buys him isn't even nice enough to play outside in anyway. I have nothing against the goodwill, but if she sees ANYTHING Bama, no matter what shape it is in, she buys it. But hey that's the Bama mentality for you.

So far, so good. No Bama stuff..yet? I hoping they don't buy that crap for him. If they do, i'll do what you said earlier in this thread- hide until it doesn't fit anymore. Though, those LSU clothes are going to be great on him as we head "east bound..." to go "ole Sothern' Alajamabamama." I even got him a 2 miniature Mike-BCS figurine for his room. bama in-laws are always wear the got 12 or 12 this t-shirts but not happy about the figurine or BCS championship posters since they don't have one ball. Again, priceless.
I wish my auburn in-laws would travel. They never go anywhere, always staying in mobile.
