The son of a friend of mine lost the use of his house to a fire that started in his garage and it was deemed to have started by his lithium battery in his mower that was stored in the garage. Water came in and flooded the area enough to partially submerge the mower.

This was during Ida and it took a long time for adjusters to get out, determine damage and process the claim.
