Although I hope I’m wrong, I have to be honest. I’m not expecting much from the Kelly era. Any coach who says “I know his name and that’s it” about his best player but then has a ton to say about a transfer QB who has more interceptions in the last two seasons than TD’s, does not give me much hope.
If Kelly thinks Daniels is even anywhere close to the same QB that a healthy Brennan is then we are doomed.

Stop the JB comparisons. The Offense LSU ran early in 2018 was nothing like what they ran early in 2020.

I don’t believe so. This is not O talking shite and playing favorites. This is a real coach with a real plan. Nobody had a job locked up yet.

You’re right, because he hasn’t shown that he’s very good.

Yep, it seems like there's a lot of racial bias, just like when people were arguing that Finley should have stayed the starter. You see it on all the different forums.

What? We have no idea what level a QB Brennan is when health

1) because a healthy Brennan is a unicorn
2) because he's only started 3 games against bad State, Vandy and Missouri teams.

We have absolutely zero idea what Brennan can do against competitive SEC teams with better talent like Auburn, Florida, A&M and Bama. Pump the brakes on this Brennan 3 games of 2020 stuff.

LSU fans are going to have to get use to having a “real coach” speak, it’s been nearly 20 years.

Burrow played against #8 Miami and #7 Auburn. Both were known for great defenses. He went 3-0.

Brennan played against a horrible Mississippi St, VANDERBILT, and Missouri. He went 1-2. He also had a ton of yards that made his overall stats look better than they were when the game actually was competitive.

i don't know who is better and i'll trust BK's decision... but i really want to see LSU build an offense around a QB who can really, really run the ball

Why do people keep bringing up W/L records when comparing qbs? It's not MB fault the defense was letting receivers run wide open all over the field.

But you see all the morons who want to give him credit for throwing against air. No one outside of this board sees MB as an SEC QB. The way he was snubbed in the portal proves this to anyone willing to face facts but we still have idiots raving about his "loyalty to LSU". He came back be ause no one wanted him.

Every time I read or hear about a QB not being good because no one wanted him I’m reminded of everyone who rejected Joe Burrow coming out of Ohio St.

Burrow was heavily recruited leaving Ohio State but don't let reality interfere with your Brennan fetish.

One of the dumbest takes of all time. Did you even watch those games?

I did, but it appears that you didn't. He was throwing against defenses that were not only bad, but also hadn't practiced. Those stats are smoke and mirrors to any reasonably intelligent person. But continue on with your idiot chorus of how "Brennan outperformed Burrow".

Right. Doing it 3 times in a row means nothing. Might need to get your eyes checked.

Oh look, another stupid comment. Please point out where I said anything remotely close to this.

But really, I'd rather you watch the games again... Maybe put your glasses on this time.

Everyone praises good quterbacks for what they do against bad teams. Look at just his stats and not the score, and it's comparable to other good sec QBs. Its just crazy to me that people look at the W/L record from those 3 games as a knock on brennan. That defense, the worst in LSU history, lost those games.

Define “heavily recruited”? Burrow stated “no one was willing to take a chance on me but Coach O” was he lying?
