I remember my brother and I trying to talk our recently divorced Mom into buying a Goes Like Hell (GLH) Omni, then they put out the GLHS….she didn’t listen to her teenage sons and bought a Toyota Tercel.

My great-uncle had a Chrysler K car - with a small 4 cylinder slapped in it so Chrysler could meet gas mileage standards. I was driving it one day and tried to pass a car - had to abort the pass because the car took so long to get to 60 mph. It was dangerously underpowered.

The japanese designed it. Not dodge.

Dodge had a version. I had the exact one in the picture. But yes it was the same car. Few minor changes

People really know how to jack up a good thing. Started off good and now towards the end all I'm seeing are classic cars and European sports cars.

Yes. Lotus' we're cool but how many did you really ever see.

‘95 Chevy Lumina

I bought a 1991 Lumina - fantastically durable drive train. It ended up as movie explosion fodder when the transmission finally died - at 419,000 miles. The motor still ran great. It has no internal motor or transmission work.

My per mile cost on that car was fantastically low.

Edit: I left the Lumina at Enterprise when I rented an SUV for a long trip. While I was gone, some hooligans punched the ignition key unit out. However, they did not steal the car. I assume they saw the mileage and said "we're not stealing this hooptie (it was 390??? at the time). So, for the rest of its life I started it with a screwdriver.

I had a case where I spent a lot of time in Dallas, staying at the Westin Galleria. I tipped the car valets well, so they left the Lumina out front with all the show off, high dollar cars. So, a four door Lumina was surrounded by Ferraris, high level model Mercedes, etc.

I lived in one like this in the Wayside parking lot next to the Ramada in Ft Walton Beach in the summer of 1976!! The bottom of the back seat would pop out and the front seats would recline all the way making for a love nest for random beach strays. Best summer ever.

Mazda MX-3.

Had one in this exact color as my first car. 4-cylinder and a stick-shift, spun at about 4500 rpm going 70 mph on I-12 headed to school.

There were only 1,500 made for the US so seeing one would be very rare. Excellent ones are $200K+ now.

Long forgotten vehicle

Finding one of these in decent shape that hasn't been made into a drag car isn't easy these days. Let alone in the land of salted roads.

Based on the Vega but came from the factory with 305/350's available. I want to make one into a road race car similar to this.

I had a '75, with the small block V8. It would scoot and it was a very fun car. It is hard to find one in decent shape these days. I got rid of mine when the Chevy service manager told me the motor was too much for the frame and was shaking it apart. The MotorTrend car of the year in 1975, but not Chevy's best engineered product.
