re: global healthcare emergency coming and the public isn't aware

I can honestly say that I've never seen a medical device company lose so much market share in a short period of time as GE. Not only internally mismanaged, but the outsourcing has really put them well behind the competition(Siemens, Philips, etc...). Working on the capital medical device side for over 25 years, it is amazing how many hospital organizations have completely ruled out anything manufactured by GE because (1) they are about a decade behind their competition in technology, and (2) they are over 6-18 months for delivery of any capital equipment due to outsourcing, nto to mention the peripherals that are outsourced.
