Zimmer was considered too old school and stodgy for the NFL. Not gonna work in college.

Whoever they get has to be an elite recruiter to get anywhere near where they expect to be.

I rhink it can be rebuilt with the right coach. First it takes a good recruiter and once you get them in campus you can show your history. Then talk about fanbase and great NIL, and how they can be part of that future.
Will not be easy but the history part is more than most teams have. Look at Baylor and somehow they got built up. Neb has good facilities as well.
It may not happen and picking the right coach is job 1. Even then it will take time. But with Portal and NIL, can be done faster nowadays.
