No. Tiger Stadium doesn’t need gimmicks. Just keep winning, let the band play Neck, bring Mike to the stadium

We're 90 days away from 2023, not 1973. As each year passes, and older fans transition away while younger ones take their place, the concept of sitting in a concrete bowl for 3 hours just watching a game and listening to a marching band will seem more and more absurd

Like it or not, the younger generation(s) need a near constant stimulus in order to be kept engaged. We can sit and talk about how it "should" be when the game is on, or LSU can make the call to move into modern times.

It's highly doubtful that flashing LED lights will cause people to NOT come to the game(photo-sensitive epileptics not included), but having a modern approach could easily attract some new younger fans and keep the current ones around for longer. And that's a good thing

I don’t support followers

So it is safe to assume that you don't have no idea what "there is nothing new under the sun" means.

No to lights
YES to a much better sound system and a bigger and better screen in the north end zone….
We do not need to be like everyone else…..

First we need to paint the West and East side seats purple so the stadium dont look so empty...

If we're being honest... Tiger Stadium is a shell of it's former self. Long gone are the packed stands with roaring fans doing the Different cheers with the band. Get past halftime and we're either way up because it's a cupcake or down and the fans start their exodus. Even the student section isn't nearly the force it used to be. It used to be a complete party. Now it's a part time reason to get drunk and leave because they're going to cut off serving after the 3rd qtr.

LED light shows etc are cool if done right. I went to the Auburn game and the student section was packed an hr before the game and up until the last interception when our win was guaranteed. I'm sure to most, Auburn is a lame environment. I didn't even see one person throwing up or passed out. But they did stay and cheer on their team. Even with a horrible season and probably getting rid of their coach. Oh and their LED light show invigorated the crowd. It really only works sor the start of the 4th when you actually have a stadium full of people.

When's the last time y'all saw that happen going into the 4th qtr?

so the OP wants us to copy what others are doing? We don't have to do things just because others are doing it.

I think it's cheesy. Put me down for a "no."

The game of football has evolved over the years. Long gone are the old school wing T and wishbone offenses. Even Saban wasn't so stubborn to not evolve. He moved away from the strategy of focusing almost exclusively on the defense to win the game and having a good enough offense to just not loose it. That's why many of the legendary coaches were so successful, and many of the legends copied other legends.

Why can't the gameday environment evolve with the game based on what the fans/players want? Who cares if it is "copying"? If it works, do it! Whether that's on the field or in the stands.

Things other teams do that I like to do as well:
1. Recruit top 5 classes
2. Win championships

YES! Maybe we can sync it to all the piped in music!! The place will look fantastic with flashing lights, I'm from Louisiana blasting out the 3,500 fans still left in the place.

I love threads like this, b/c they always expose the lame ducks that refuse to admit that evolving with the times is a good thing.

We should always be adding and upgrading our in-stadium experience for the fans AND the players, and LED lights should definitely be installed ASAP.

On the topic of “piped in music” — Do you not think that maybe the ACTUAL PLAYERS OF THE GAME enjoy the piped in music? Maybe it gets then pumped up? Maybe that’s why we do it? It’s not all about YOU.

I too was at Bama in 2019 and felt the same. I always made fun of it on tv but in person it was awesome. Imagine TS lit up in purple and gold. Yes for me.
