Who said anything about this place? And what do you mean “you people”?

How many elite coaches do you think are out there? You have Saban at Alabama and Smart at Georgia, which is his alma mater. And I wouldn’t call Smart elite until he wins at least another title. He is an elite recruiter.

Who else is elite right now? Go look at national titles. Maybe Dabo Swinney fits the elite description. You couldn’t hire Urban Meyer after all of the off-field trouble here with Orgeron.

That’s pretty much your list of elite.

Some of these dummies actually expected to only lose to Alabama this year. Coach O fricked our depth all to hell and we’ve been pretty average to shitty since Burrow and co. left.

That’s just the fans who don’t understand how f$cked up our roster was after O cratered the program. BK went to portal but it’s all patchwork so we could field some semblance of a team. These transfers weren’t all sec quality players like some of our fan base talked themselves into believing.

Burrow looked like a cat on a hot tin roof his first year against quality defenses. He didn’t exactly get the grace he deserved either. Nobody is ever good enough for LSU unless they win 100% of the time

If he were replaced at end of year, would that be a good decision by the head coach in your view?

I would ask why he was hired as the ST Coordinator in the first place, but we already know the answer to that. It’s because he’s good friends with Brian Kelly.

I was thinking the same thing. As if our opinion means anything.

It isn't the record but the level of play on several teams.
It doesn't take much football knowledge to be able to project that our approach to offensive football isn't going to win anything in the SEC. that might beat the military schools most years, and the scrubs of the sun belt conference, but not in the SEC.
Many on this board can actually see this and project it into the future and that is their concern...not that LSU is necessarily going to have a losing record this year. Greatness was not expected at all to most, but sound football was. For any that can project, and understand the ramifications of the incompetence being demonstrated by the coaching staff, the future does not look promising...thus the desire for change.

Yep. Its difficult to endure, we all knew what this year would be, but nobody wants to go through it

And it's Toptiger with the top opinion by a mile. Have 1000 upvotes, we have to be patient as much as it's gonna hurt. But by all means, let it out.

He isn't immune to criticism and he shouldn't be

Yesterday was a terrible coaching job and he acknowledged as much. If he can look in the mirror and own it then why can't the fans be critical?

I don’t know why people keep saying he needs time when referring to terrible decisions. Decision making isn’t impacted by how long you have been a coach at a school. It’s more than fair to be critical of the atrocity of a game that he coached yesterday. Tenn isn’t that much better than us. Poor coaching preparation and decisions made that game much worse than it should have been.

Most reasonable people knew he wasn’t winning a championship year 1. But there are still bears we should set. And yesterdays game was below that bar. You can understand he needs time to build a roster while also questioning his decisions or coaching hires.

And if he was making minimum wage then we would have more patience

Bad take. It’s the same fan antics at any big program. LSU is no different.

What elite coaches do not want to coach here?
What makes you say there are “many”?

That probably costs us an extra $20M for a great coach just to offset dealing with shite LSU fans.
