It is highly unlikely he hits when he is pitching. He never did in the fall anyway and that is best in my opinion. Hitting and pitching in the same game at the college level is a lot to have to deal with.

Even when he isn't pitching, I'm not ready to say he will be the everyday DH. Too many options at this point to make that assumption.

Skenes was tearing the cover off the ball to start the fall but cooled off considerably. Jones was perhaps the top option by the end of fall. There will be a lot of competition in the spring at DH. Travinski, Jobert, Beloso, Frey are other considerations.

I believe Thompson and Milazzo will start the year but they are not written down in ink.

If he ends up being one of the best hitters he will be in the lineup especially in matchups they need him to be. Jay Johnson has already proven that whatever bats he needs in the lineup will be in the lineup regardless of defensive attributes so I can pretty much guarantee if he ends up being one of the best hitters on team he will get some at bats even when pitching. If they have someone who is also talented to fill the DH spot then sure but Johnson isn’t going to remove a top 3 bat from the lineup. This is all considering if he is that kind of talent with the bat in his hands of course. He may not be
