In the days of the transfer portal, there is zero guarantee a guy will stay at the university. There have been multiple multi-year starters who still transferred. That's not something that coaches can help.
It's idiotic to try and appease a freshman who isn't yet the best of his position, just because you're scared he may later transfer.

The "future" is next season. I hope the coaches go with the QB that gives us the best chance to win as many games as possible next year, whoever that is.

Nuss has 3 years of eligibility left and Howard 4. Daniels one more season, Nuss 1 or 2 more after Daniels, then Howard 1 or 2 more after that. Is that entirely out of the realm of possibility?
