Has anybody here had both 4 and 6 cyl. models?
i had both in earlier years, the 4 was beter on gas by like 2 mpg worth and if you wanted to pass a car on flat level road you needed no less than 1/4 mile empty road when you floor it or you wont make it. you will also downshift into 2nd going up any bridge at all.
the v6 is what you want, its about 40% more power than the 4 cylinders, and even then, the v6 still feels underpowered when passing cars because of the way they gear those trucks for towing
