In my opinion it doesn’t really matter about the camo in a skyline situation.

Using camo for whitetail is for the hunters, not the deer. They either see movement or they don't.

If you're skylined I don't think the camo pattern is going to make a difference. I'd wear a leafy/ghillie suit to try and break up my outline but I try to avoid trees like that.

I killed my big buck this season from this tree. I was a foot or so higher on my platform. Sometimes the best tree in the right spot isn't available. You have to be very conscious about your movements

Yes, I do think that Sitka's Elevated II helps in these situations but it won't make you disappear

Photo cred?

No, there’s camo that reduces the ability to pick up movement.

Well thats good . You always hear about uncle joe with his blue jeans and smoking, killed a big one.

But here, my goal is to blend with the sky background .

Click on the Link that i provided.

Click on performance tee shirt

Scroll right to left- to the dude up in the saddle. Almost exactly like the photo that mylsuhat posted. See how it works.

There is one very important difference in those photos.

If that tree was my best option, I would put on a saddle and hunt from the back of the tree. Get some good knee pads and try and stay still.

The sun is your friend and your worst enemy. Either stay in the shadow of the trunk or sun at your back. You are black blob either way. Sun at your face, you are a human in a tree.

Except maybe the camo gives you more margin for error. Just a thought.
