Has anyone applied for their passport recently and how long did it take?

Renewal or new passport?
I renewed mine online a little over a month ago. Took 10 minutes. Still waiting for it to come in.

Applied online yesterday. 8-11 weeks for regular service. 5-8 for expedited.

Renewed mine last summer. Took about 6 weeks door to door.

In October, my sub ten year old's passport took 3 weeks.
Just make it happen. You can also book a flight for the passport holder to get "expedited" service, get the passport processed, then cancel the trip after you submit the passport request.
That feels dirty to me, but it's doable.
Whatever you think you're doing, book the appointment RIGHT NOW. There were not appointments available for 90 days in west Houston, which I assumed was a system error. I just showed up, and I was wrong. But because I could commiserate with a Vietnam area jarhead, and that I'd pulled my daughter out of school, got me some grace. Unscheduled renewal was completed, but I probably blame my nine year old's cheeks for that, not anything I did. Totally subject to the passport man at USPS.

We just did our kids’ last week. It’s a pain in the arse and not anticipating getting them on time since it’s the government. Changed our plans to a stateside trip instead.

Applied for mine on 2/8, still have no status available and paid for every expediting service possible.

Applied for renewal in late November and just got them back two weeks ago. So about 9 weeks give or take.
FYI, the online status didn't mean squat. I had them in hand and the online portal said they were still being processed.

Went in person on January 10th to the Yenni Building (Jefferson Parish) and paid extra for the expedited process, for both me and my daughter. She got hers in about 3 weeks. I got mine two days ago, just over 7 weeks.
Wife did the same a couple of weeks before us when she had a day off; she got hers in about 3 weeks.
Thankfully our trip abroad is not until early June.

I applied in person at the post office 2/1 and paid for the expedited service. First time passport and I got it in the mail 3/10. No issues at all.

I have three full passport pages left and one with just a Mexico stamp on the side. I am headed to Malaysia the first week of April (be back on 4/7), Canada on June 6, and Doha/Casablanca in mid July
I need to get my passport renewed sometime in there. I would have two full months between Malaysia and Canada, which would seem like plenty of time for a renewal. I’m a little concerned based on what I’m reading here.
