Cremation and small service is probably best bet. I know of someone who said they saved a good bit of money by asking the folks at the grocery store for a flower arraignment. It's a damn shame how much it now costs to die, I'd assume my family throw me in a hole if it were legal.

Oh. My dad passed away when I was 25 and my mom (his ex wife) was the emergency contact

My mom said she was cremating him and putting him in the family tomb - if we wanted anything else we had to pay

Sounds like her problem, honestly.

Does the mom have/Is she going to leave daughter any money?

Not to be a dick, but when the divorce was final, you’re no longer responsible for that kind of stuff. Obviously you should support your daughter in helping bury her mother, but if I were you, I’d expect to be reimbursed from the estate for any burial expenses that landed in my lap.
