Nugget: Volunteer assistant for Samford is Cam Shepherd, former Georgia Bulldog. Very good ball player from 2017-2020. Drafted late in 2016 out of high school but played 4 years in Athens instead, signed as free agent with Braves in 2020 but gave it up after 1 season.
