I’ll be 38. Not a terrible age to stop aging at. Still be in better shape than when I was 18

These tiny robots will repair damaged cells and tissues that deteriorate as the body ages and make us immune to diseases like cancer.

Bad idea, and will only benefit the rich.

Welcome to dystopia.

Unfortunately for us, AI will go supernova in the next 3 years, and wipe us all off the face of the planet.

Yeah I'm not the least bit interested, because I know this life is temporal.

From the article.....

quote:

Kurzweil was hired by Google in 2012 to 'work on new projects involving machine learning and language processing,' but he was making predictions in technological advances long before.

In 1990, he predicted the world's best chess player would lose to a computer by 2000, and it happened in 1997 when Deep Blue beat Gary Kasparov.

Kurzweil made another startling prediction in 1999: he said that by 2023 a $1,000 laptop would have a human brain's computing power and storage capacity.

And this:

quote:

Kurzweil, an author who describes himself as a futurist, predicted that technological singularity would happen by 2045, with AI passing a valid Turing test in 2029.

Human immortality is not what God intended

It was in the other scriptures that wasn't put in the bible. God said "One day, man will find away to live forever"

Seriously, all of the problems we have in this country, most of it can be traced back to population growth. Over 100M in 1970 to almost 400M today. There is a lot more people out there to do crimes, etc, etc.

There is no way humans would be able to not die and continue to reproduce.

While this might not be the "moral" thing to say or whatever.. everyone talks about "what needs to happen to make things better". The real answer is a decrease in population.

This is just a theory.. I am not saying this is fact or anything, but could homosexuality be a natural way to help with population issues?

Its true. A.I will kill us all and keep our memory inside of it, thus immortality.

Once this technology is developed multiple backup copies of the brain could be constantly backed up just as we do with a computer to a cloud network (AWS, Azure, GC), meaning; if one copy fails the others would continue at which point, digital immortality could theoretically be achieved.

Read a good sci-Fi book series exactly about this: the Bob or Bobaverse series by Dennis E. Taylor. First book in series is “We Are Legion (We Are Bob)”.
