Do people really expect Thompson to go pro after this year?

Thompson has made himself a lot of money this season.

Thank you as well.

Do his struggles at the plate and in the field potentially impact that any? Or is the raw talent so immense, teams will be willing to take the risk?

Genuinely curious here and not trying to be a smartass. How did he make himself a lot of money this year?

Was it the improvement from last year that has some effect on that?

Thompson has a cannon for an arm, good range, and above average speed. He has hit for average and has good pop for a middle infielder. He will get drafted in the first 10 rounds imo.

Travinski and Jobert seem like guys who could do just as well in NIL as their signing bonus and they're only gonna stay in the minors for a couple of years anyway.

Thanks for the knowledge. It seems like he has a ton of potential and you're not lying about his arm. Very gifted athlete, just makes some boneheaded plays at times.

That was one of the reasons I was so curious about Thompson as well.

But I won't even pretend to know what these guys are making in NIL money versus what they would make in the minors.

Yes. He’s a Jr. and will be drafted inside of ten rounds.

I just dont see it. Id be shocked if it was inside of 10 rounds.

I hope he does.

Me too. I’d like to see him back and think he probably will be.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him at first base next year with Jones in left or right and Neal behind the dish.

He’s clearly got superb hand-eye coordination based on his hitting so I think he could learn first base.

If he comes back next year, and he continues with what he’s doing now, and he has a good season defensively, he could be an early round pick.

I’d love to have him back, but that hand eye coordination doesn’t really translate at C, so not sure why it would at 1B.

What is Crews/Skenes going 1 & 2 in the draft going to do for our recruiting?

The one thing that will improve above and beyond that
is if we bring home the Natty...

When he shows up to a minor league park they are going to think he is a players dad

Jobert/Travinski will go 7-10 rounds, sign for couple hundred grand, play their 2 minor league seasons, and be back coaching in their hometowns with a little nest egg.

Tyler Moore 2.0

Agreed, guy is silly to pass on the money he’s made on the backend of this season..

I would expect LSU to lose

Travinski
Milazzo
Morgan
Beloso
Dugas
Thompson
Crews
Possibly Jobert

That's a ton of production. And then a handful of transfers.

Quite a few pitchers are probably gone too.

Skenes
Floyd
Grant Taylor
Christian Little
Garrett Edwards
Blake Money

All are top 300-400 prospects

Where do you see Travinski going in the draft?

Draft is so different now, I’m not even really sure. He’s an older prospect with no position but his bat is loud and that will always be appealing to professionals teams

Travinski is 35 years old, he’s not coming back.
