Are you one of these geniuses that think Johnson called a steal of home rather than what it was - Merrifield making a decision to try and steal a run when the OTHER TEAM tried a pick off at first.

That’s a play they work on in practice all year. Bait a lefty pitcher to pick at first then guy at third tries to make it home. Merrifield got a late jump.

Did Johnson comment on that after the game? I assumed it was called and Merrifield just got bad jump/not far enough off to start. My only issue if that was called was not getting Merrifield off on first movement. You can extend the lead from first or put a squeeze on in case he goes home.
