Is there a more terrible run club than the University Club?

Only time I’ve had an enjoyable experience at Uclub, and I was a member for 4 years, was during the weekdays. It’s zero pleasure being out there on the weekend and being criminally understaffed. Cart guys have zero desire to make sure the carts are ready to go let alone balls on the range.

Cart girl is usually out of whatever you want “but I’ll bring it to you next time around” 2.5 hours later….yadayadayada

Don't forget having to call for a tee time at 6:45 AM exactly 7 days before you want to play on the weekend except somehow they are already booked up till 11. Somehow they start taking calls at 6:45 yet they are booked for the first 3-4 hours

Would be great if it were member owned. Until then, it’ll be operated like an over-played semi-private golf course. About like Sherwood Forest before it’s demise.

Paragon's course isn't much better. Played yesterday and no beer cart and no water except for the two bottles they put in your cart cooler. Said they were understaffed.

Golfing in Louisiana seems like a such a nightmare, between the absolutely awful courses and even worse management.

No one on this board ever says anything positive about any course in the state just burned greens here, shitty cart girl there, asphalt bunkers on the other side etc.

Not an enjoyable course to play either all the other bullshite aside. Idk why anyone would join given the lack of other amenities as well

UClub is for those who want to be seen but aren’t legit enough for the CCL.

UClub is a money grab for owners. They don’t play and have no interest in improving course. They apply bandaids which slow issues but are never fixed. This is catching up now and that’s why the bunkers are shitty, the course now longer drains, the fairways are rock hard from not watering enough, waste areas are full of weeds, and there is no growth under trees. Literally starting to look like Santa Maria. Until there is a focus on catering to the paying members, and not in the 1-2 plant scrambles a week, the course will continue to get shittier.
