Last night’s crowd consisting of 99.5% Tiger fans chanting:

“JORDAN THOMPSON” each time he was at the plate.

This epitomizes the love we have for our people.

Yes the CWS was one for the ages. So many sorry lines for damn near each player on that unreal roster. The second best thing for me was seeing Beloso, Dugas, Crews, and more than likely Morgan go out as champions. Those four guys were and always will be legends as far as I’m concerned.

I think Dugas has gotten lost in the shuffle but he had a really great postseason. His at bat in game 1 vs FL was huge.

Made me proud to be a tiger fan. Everybody was trashing him and wanted JJ to bench him and the entire stadium had his back. That's true love right there

This. So many of the douche bags on this site have no sense of sportsmanship because they never actual played, or they were bench warmers who bragged about being on the team.

Nothing is worse for an athlete than to let himself down.
There is a movie scene that explains it perfectly.

A lot of us were critical of Thompson’s performance all tourney. The casuals and idiots will get personal about it, but the real fans among us always cheer for these guys as people, even when they struggle.

I wasn’t mad at Jay when he sat Jobert at the end of game 1. He was in a bit of a slump. It happens. He was right back in the lineup the next day. Jay sat Milazzo late for Travinsky for a bit more at the plate in one game, as well. He was back in there for the last game and delivered.

Sometimes that happens and there’s no reason for fans to ever get personal about it. Our players are all human beings and you all KNOW how much Thompson much have been killing himself after game 2.

Honestly, if Thompson had started off badly at the plate again and had another error early in game 3, I wouldn’t have blamed Jay for subbing him. No one can forget Saban making the ultimate title game move benching a career winner in Jalen Hurts for Tua. Sometimes that’s what is best for the team.

But damn I’m glad that’s not what happened. It was fricking amazing seeing Thompson get those two big hits when the game was still in the balance and then kill it all day in the field. Him getting the first two outs in the 9th was just perfect. He was ON.

You never want to get personal criticizing a player, but it IS personal for real Tiger fans when it comes to these guys succeeding. I loved seeing these players like Thompson, Jobert, Dugas and Beloso who have been through so much having the time of their lives out there last night. That made me really happy, but Thompson most of all.
