re: James Gunn's 'Superman' Thread. First look at Superman's Suit

I'm good with it. Although I now see they are including Mr. Terrific for the diversity quota. Guess Superman can't stand by himself.
They already have the LBGTQRSTUV down with Apollo and Midnight in the film. (They are gay superheroes fyi).
Green Lantern could be such a banger if they just start with Kyle Rayner story. Its pretty much a skin of Star Wars with the mighty Green Lantern corps brutally butchered by their greatest hero Hal Jordan.
Kyle literally met a blue green alien in some shitty alley and the alien toss him the ring saying "I guess you'd have to do."
Since his entire corps was dead, the blue guardian didn't give a shite anymore. Turns out Kyle became the best of them all as he carried the torch and reformed the corps when no one else could. And unlike Hal, when given ultimate power wisely gave it up.

Anyway, rant done.

I don't think they're in the film. Gunn was asked about this and he replied saying he never said the authority would be in this film. It was a rumor started by others.

Hard to find a weaker Green Lantern than Kyle Rayner. There's a reason that film and animation creators want to use every GL but him.
