He just wouldn't. Not in today's game. I think Jacob Hester's senior year would've been better than anything Cannon could do today.
Canon each year averaged 600 rushing yards a year and 200 receiving yards. Like very consistent each of 3 years. Not sure how that stacked up against competition then, but 600 rushing yards now is nothing. Hester had 1100 yards his senior year.
I'm guessing only white guys being on the field in the 50s meant the game was slower, so 600 rushing yards then was actually good.
