Prayers for you! Losing a sibling is hard and happening around the holidays seems to compound that. (Lost my brother day after Thanksgiving 2018) Take care of yourself!

I somehow missed this thread when it first happened but losing a brother this close to Christmas is horrible. Hope your family recovers and can somehow manage to deal with the emotions that come with it. I’ll be thinking of y’all.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.
To summarize, since his wreck he has been on a ventilator. He has been wide awake and communicating. He had full use of his hands and arms and even moved his toes one time.
They tried weaning him off the vent for the past 4.5 months but he never could get it going on his own. In the past few weeks he became septic and there was nothing we could do but pray.
He never gave up and we got to spend time with him. The day he passed, when I got there, he said, goodbye, I am leaving and I love you.
Evidently God needed a little assshole.
He leaves behind two sons 15 and 7.

Set up a GoFundMe for these boys and let the OT do work. It won't stop the pain but it may help the practical reality.

Dude I saw this on FB and thought of you immediately. So sorry to see that. I know your brother was a great guy. I feel for you and your family. No words can heal but know that you hurt more than he does now, and take some solace in that. :internethug:

. I didn't know he got into an accident. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through right now. Nothing can prepare you for losing a loved one. I'll pray for y'all and please send my condolences to your Mom, Dad and Brother.

RIP and more prayers headed your way. Prayers to you, your family, his friends and especially his sons. I know you have had a while to process this but that certainly doesn’t make it easier to lose a brother.
On another note, there are some tough guys here on the OT who have dealt with some pretty big things. Respect to all of you for rolling with the punches so gracefully.
