Maybe I missed it, but no where did I see MauLer or ANYONE explain this clear blooper in the story.
Her name is Cassie. Cassie LANG. Not Cassie Pym. She's the daughter of Scott and Maggie Lang. She's not Hope Pym's daughter. Not Hank Pym's granddaughter. So how the hell is SHE the superior heir to all things Quantum or relating to the Pym Particle?? Where the hell is she getting this Tony Stark level genius ability to build and create ANYTHING like the subatomic radio telescope??
Scott doesn't know this stuff. He's used it, but has no clue how it really works. The Pym family does, because that's their business. But Hank, Janet and Hope all got dusted for 5 years. How is this random kid whose dad worked for a tech genius suddenly imbued with the galaxy brain ability to first grasp the topic then 'tinker' around to create a fully functional sciencey McGuffin to get this story rolling in the first place? Everyone who'd know anything about Pym tech was lost in the Quantum realm or snapped by Thanos.

I disagree. He is a high level engineer. in Ant-man 1 he was shown tweaking the devices. The real issue is that he was made a clown. Just like most of the MCU movies in the last few years, the male lead had to be made a clown so the female lead can be shown as a serious leader.
