Decades ago, it was fun going camping up in Canada and going to the grocery stores there and finding European brands and even things like "Hamburger Helper" in flavors we didn't have down here. HH even had flavors that were Spam based (and they were, of course, both tasty and easy to cook.

Journalism is such a joke of a profession.

Now it is. I feel like I could have gotten about the same information just talking to a grocery store clerk.

I just snot rocket Jared Jones style. This doesn’t affect me.

When I was a kid my dad and mom were hosting a party for a charitable event. A lot of high class swells outside of our usual guests. Dad was standing with his back to a fireplace holding forth to five or six guests when, mid-sentence, he turned and fired a snot-rocket into the fire, then he finished his story.

No one reacted at all. But two of my friends and I saw it and could not wait to get out of there and laugh about it. That was about 45 years ago. RIP.

Prop 65 compliance was a PITA. At first they required very specific labeling on products based on the components, and if your manufacturing occurred in multiple locations (we had over 50 locations), you now had to maintain a separate inventory for California or completely re-do all packaging, toss packaging, or even potentially overlabel every single one.

They revised the label requirements to allow more broad categorization of the type of "threat" the product posed, but the label is still required nonetheless.

I've seen small hobby manufacturers just throw Prop 65 labels on everything they make to cover their arse.
