Dumbass. High CO2 levels trail above average temps not the cause.

Ad Hominem…that’s the fallacy of your stated argument, where you put intellectual in parentheses yet don’t have a damn thing to say about the actual context of what I said. My point is climate has always changed, if you can argue against it do so, if you want to attack me, get better at it.

Yes, climate has always changed. However, the changes occured every 100k years or so switching between glacial and interglacial periods. The problem is that we are in an interglacial period, where global temps are warmer and in theory we should be heading to another glacial period, but with global warming (CO2 emissions) that glacial period is getting further and further away and temps keep rising. But a record breaking heat streak is a "normal" summer to some people

If it wasn’t for global warming, it would be in the negatives in BR right now

Just a normal summer in the south!
Now...if this gets bumped again this Sept / Oct after another record heat wave...that will be an even better bump.

This is a timely bump. Was reminding my wife about this yesterday when she said she was ready for summer. Never pray for summer in louisiana, you're gonna get plenty of it as is.

quote:

In 1906 Alexandria, LA recorded 44 days of temps over 100° During that time they had two separate streaks of 6 days in a row of 100° heat The first A/C was invented in 1902 but was not installed in homes until 1914 Could you have made it 44 days in 100° heat with no A/C?

Or maybe it’s a heat wave like the one I lived in 1980 (with only one AC window unit for the entire house)?

quote:

The drought and heat wave conditions led many Midwestern cities to experience record heat. In Kansas City, Missouri, the high temperature was below 90°F (32°C) only twice and soared above the century mark (100 °F or 38 °C) for 17 days straight; in Memphis, Tennessee, the temperature reached an all-time high of 108 °F (42 °C) on July 13, 1980, part of a 15-day stretch of temperatures above 100 °F (38 °C) that lasted from July 6 to 20. In Indianapolis, Indiana on July 15, the temperature reached 100 °F (38 °C) for the first time since 1954. In Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, high temperatures exceeded 100 °F (38 °C) a total of 69 times, including a record 42 consecutive days from June 23 to August 3,[4] of which 28 days were above 105, and five days above 110. The area saw 29 days in which the previous record high temperature was either broken or tied, including its all-time high when the temperature hit 113 °F (45 °C) on two consecutive days (June 26 and 27).

Or maybe 2011?

quote:

DFW in 2011. 103 consecutive days above 100.

The climate catastrophists are morons.

What's stupid about it, that the climate has always changed, or that it comes in predictable cycles?

The Earth is in constant change, and surrendering to our governments every penny we earn as tax revenue will not change this fact.

nope. it's amazing you haven't figured this out yet. global warming accounts for around 1.7 degrees. it would be 40.3 degrees rather than 42 right now

you literally couldn't tell the difference without a thermometer
