I agree. But it happens to players on all teams, we’re just much more attuned to it when it happens to our guys. I just don’t like when people criticize the organization for not having a crystal ball. And I like it even less when we criticize the player like it’s some sort of character flaw. We’ve got the biggest, fastest players on planet earth colliding with each other on every play. Sometimes shite just happens.

And the bad luck we’ve had with Davenport and Turner could be seen as the balance to the incredible good luck we’ve had with the freakish anomaly that is Cam, who hasn’t missed a game due to injury in 12 seasons and somehow looks to not have even had any significant drop off from his prime.

Well I don't know about all that. Players get hurt but at the end of the day players are paid to play. IMO Turner is at the end of his leash and if he misses significant time this season he won't be back. It's just how it is.

Like I said it sucks for all parties but sometimes players bodies just don't work. Turner is in that category.

And yes, I don't think blaming the player or team for drafting him is warranted in this situation. Not every dream works out but I will blame the team for not moving on to someone who can be counted on to be on the field it this turns out ot be another injury shortened season for him.

Get the heck out of here with logic and stuff.

If I have a critique of the Saints where an injury is concerned, it is that they did seem to have a period where they were making exactly the wrong calls on players' surgery, rehab (post or instead of surgery), and evaluations. To the point that they were reported to have had a reputation amongst players for being one of the worst in the NFL.
