Panthers have quickly turned a 2 goal deficit into a 4-2 lead. Red Wings/Canadiens and Capitals/Flyers are both tied.

If Panthers hold on they win the Atlantic, setting up a battle for Florida first round and Toronto-Boston. Which would be awesome and unexpected.

It probably won't end up mattering, but Detroit scored to tie at 4-4 with 5 seconds left

Flyers pull their goalie in a tie game. And the Capitals quickly score.

Caps got the benefit of Philly needing to win in regulation.

I’ll take it!

Yes. For the 8th year in a row. Matthews inches away from #70.

Scored two goals with an empty net the past two days. Came back from 4-1 yesterday. Wings showed a lot of heart at the end, and won the last game of the season. Things are turning around in Detroit

Caps baby!

Make the playoffs on an empty netter, that has to be a first.

The Capitals scored, and got the last playoff spot because the Flyers pulled their goalie needing a regulation win.

Read above and below for more context. Definitely a wild way to get in the playoffs.

That is surprising it's on New Year's Eve. College football playoffs on all day New Year's?

Matthews just rang the crossbar. Lightning lead 3-1.

Now Stamkos just hit the post on a pass from Kucherov which would give him 100 assists.
