Prison phone calls were recorded of her and that guy. He was planning to come to her apartment, I think the day of his release and stay the night.
A local News channel did some really good and comprehensive reporting on this. I haven't read it in a while but it pretty much timelines everything and debunks alot of shite. It's an easy enough gooble.
He had plans to see her immediately after his release.

Taylor’s boyfriend who was with her in the apartment was Kenneth Walker. He has no criminal record and had a lawfully owned firearm.

Shacking up with the "he had no record" guy... and he starts shooting at the door because he thinks its Breanna's ex (not police)...with his lawfully owned gun... ok... should we feel better now?...and Kenneth was just arrested?
Media showed Breanna as the nurse medical student with a great future. These images got everyone emotional about her death
Also...
A person was found dead in a rental car in her name...not sure what that was about...

Kenneth Walker was not just arrested. Jamarcus Glover who they were after when Taylor was killed was just arrested again.
I’m surprised the OT is apoplectic about a man discharging a lawfully owned firearm once when parties unknown to him battered down his door at 1am.
