Lake City ammo plant canceled all commercial contracts about two weeks ago. They are the largest producer of Winchester 5.56 and supplied about 30% of the civilian market for 5.56

Yep. 100% govt production now.
Clearly a coordinated effort to replenish and control production/supply for our own military use. Not that it’s wrong, just saying it’s clearly a sign.

Israel has done billions in improvements in Gaza

I have a feeling when Israel is done turning Gaza City into a landfill the West will unveil a peace plan that is centered on the US funding a transformation of Gaza into a Dubai style tourist paradise. We're going to buy their peace with luxuries they can't currently imagine. With Iran's proxy broken it just may stick.

Who is the peace plan going to be with? Like what parties will be involved?
Posted on 10/28/23 at 1:48 pm to ticklechain
Likely some combination of Israel, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, and the Saudis providing security guarantees and the US and Israel providing funding.
The basis of it will have to be prosperity for whatever Palestinians remain there. Give them some vague reason to be happy in life rather than living in some blockaded, third-world shithole.

Let us remember that Hamas can't even seem to find many of said hostages.

That plan would amount to giving a win to Israel and conceding their tactics worked. Egypt, Saudi, UAE isn’t going to do that, for much the same reason Israel wasn’t going to communicate anything that in anyway validates what Hamas just did to them.
I don’t know what the aftermath will be, but I’ll be shocked if there is any agreement between Israel and any Arab country any time soon after this.

He'll yeah. Release them, send them home to Gaza..
A) plant tracking devices and hope they lead you to more leadership.
B) War is declared. Release them as POWs. Gaza is the battlefield; if they return to the battlefield they are legit targets. Kill them all on the battlefield.

I mean, on the surface it sounds like a good deal. Trade 200 innocents for 6000 terrorists, right?
Right?

Sure, as soon as they cross the border back into GAZA "bomb the shite out of them !"

Right
Trading 1000 terrorists for one IDF soldier is what birthed this entire murder and snatch raid to begin with.
If I'm Israel I would sacrifice the 200. Write them off. Dismantle Hamas with no regard for their safety. If you rescue some of them along the way, then that's a bonus.
If you negotiate for the 200, it will spawn a whole new kidnap culture. Israel should kill 100 Hamas fighters for every prisoner taken

This is the point where I admit that my dream of a new dawn in Turkish-Israeli relations is fading.
“Israel, how did you end up here? How did you get here? You are an occupier. You are a group, not a state,” President Erdogan said at the rally in Istanbul
“The West owes you something. But we don’t owe you anything. That’s why we say these things so calmly. Unfortunately, every country in the West owes you something,” the Turkish president added.
Other points in his remarks:
?? We will declare Israel a war criminal, we are already working on this
?? Everyone knows that Israel is just a pawn in the region that can be sacrificed when the time comes.
?? Those who shed crocodile tears for the civilians killed yesterday in the Ukrainian-Russian war are today silently watching the deaths of thousands of innocent children in the Gaza Strip
?? The West is responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip. The massacre there is entirely the work of the West.

Leave it to the Orthodox jews. They are the Zealots, arguing against retaliation. Just like the damn Zealots who fought other Jews while the Romans tore down the walls of Jerusalem.

This would force a cease fire.
Then make it harder for Israel to restart military operations in the world view.

BREAKING: ???? Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochová has just called to leave the UN for cheering Hamas terrorists. “Exactly 3 weeks ago, Hamas murdered over 1400 Israelis, more victims for their population than the militant Islamist organization al-Qaeda murdered in the US on 9/11. And only 14 countries, including ours, have spoken out clearly and understandably against this unprecedented terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas terrorists! I am ashamed of the UN. In my opinion, the Czech Republic has no place in an organization that cheers on terrorists and does not respect the fundamental right to self-defence. Let's get out.”
2/ More on the shameful U.N. General Assembly resolution, drafted by Jordan and other Arab states, that refused to condemn the Hamas massacre:
