give civilian 72 hours for safe passage into UN camp (Egypt)
Egypt blew up the border passage and said no you can’t come here. Egypt will provide aid but no passage

No it's 100% true because they voted for Hamas in the first place knowing what and who Hamas was when they voted them in. They weren't blind to Hamas's intentions. Elections matter.

Israel is doing what it can to punish and wreck Hamas while doing what is reasonable to limit civilian casualties. That’s all that can be asked of Israel.

Considering our election was stolen I doubt they had much say.

What if they can't leave because Israel has barricaded them in?quote:
This isn’t the case. Israel has offered routes to safety and places for them to go
Israel has offered to let them go to Egypt, but Egypt has declined unless Israel guarantees a right to return later. Israel has declined to make that guarantee.

The civilian Palestinians, who number well over 1 million, Are the very ones who put Hamas in charge.
so, basically, you are willing to kill 2 million people as a result of how 200,000 of them voted 20 years ago.

quote:330k have been “displaced.”. That does not mean they left Gaza. Almost none have been able to leave. They have just fled their homes. More than 180k of them are in UN shelters … in Gaza. The bulk of the rest are sheltering elsewhere … in Gaza
Almost 300,000 have already left Gaza since Sunday. If you have the will you will find a way.

No siege. Go in and kill them all with extreme prejudice. Drop flyers on their asses telling them they have 24 hours to vacate.
Posted on 10/12/23 at 5:46 pm to Antoninus
Correct. Israel controls everything and everyone who enters or exits Gaza.

From the NSC this evening:
quote:
“We are working closely with Egypt and Israel to see if we can develop safe-passage options so that those civilians in Gaza who want to leave can leave safely,” White House National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby told The Wall Street Journal. “This isn’t their fault. They didn’t cause this. And if they want to leave, they should be allowed to leave.”

Hint. Those UN sites are inside Gaza

My question to the board: is it? What compromise can Israel take to allow relief to civilians while also ensuring Hamas is destroyed?

Seems that the 3/4 who were too young to vote would certainly recognize the existential mistake their parents made, and welcome Israel coming and fixing their dreadful mistake for them. Reckon they will?

I’m not in their situation, but let me be clear. I would kill anyone who puts the safety and security of my family at risk. Anyone, and any number.
