Holy Land tourism is a lucrative industry. There was dozens upon dozens of such tourists in Israel from Alabama alone when the attack occurred.

Iran better be careful. They are surrounded by US bases. I think all bluster and no fight. Two US Air Bases in Iraq alone. Now over 180 airframes off shore. They haven’t fought a war in decades….and the US has not used their new toy, the Ford.

If they are there, they must follow their lawful orders, regardless of whether they agree or disagree with them.
But, they are probably there simply to help oversee some fine-tuning training of Israeli military forces OR they may be there to operate some sophisticated "stand-off" weapons systems.
Might be working with some CIA folks on info-gathering activities that don't involve danger.
The intent is NOT to place them in the front lines of a conventional battle.
To Liberate the Oppressed.
