Equally insane is the rare time I go to a movie and, despite many open seats, some fricker comes and sits right beside me. Last time, the whole row was open except our seats, and a gal settled in next to me. WTF?

Waiting rooms, the gym (treadmill or something), church....etc. I do not understand it AT ALL. Completely empty waiting room? Sure, sit right next to me. People are weird.
