First time there ordered the Mac&Cheese as suggested by many coworkers.

Was surprised when asked if i wanted gravy with that!

I grew up in Natchez and there was a hole in the wall place, originally on the bypass by Liberty Road and later in Tracetown called E&T’s BBQ Heaven. They had a huge hamburger that had everything that you could think of on it. They called it the “Big Agnes”. 20 years ago, you could get a Big Agnes and fries for $3 and change. We’d go there at least 2 days a week for lunch our senior year of high school. My 16-17 year old metabolism could handle those cholesterol bombs back then, but it’s probably a good thing they aren’t around anymore.

Yeah its a must. I go with the red gravy.

For me currently its Three Bs in Kingwood, Tx. Nothing super special but just a solid all around neighborhood spot.

Houston-my family and I spend entirely too much money at Candente and Goode Company Seafood.

Candente has supplanted all other Tex Mex joints in town for us and Goode Company Seafood is nostalgic for me…my mom and dad took me there frequently…I take my own family there frequently-a campechana extra at the bar with an exceedingly cold St Arnold’s lawnmower is like last meal shite for me in Houston, always something I have to have after being away for a couple days.

The wife always gets it plain with no gravy while I prefer it with the brown gravy.

When I make it for Thanksgiving I'll have a pot of giblet gravy that I use to punch it up a bit.

Same here. Politz fell out over the last few years. Still one of the only places to get some good frog legs, but it's not what it used to be.

Yeah I make if for Thanksgiving as well and I do love it with brown gravy, especially from a roast. When I go there I get it with the red though.

I've never tried the fried shrimp over the last 30 years, I guess I need to. It's hard to stray from the moussaka, dolmades, spanakopita, grape leaf, and his lamb chops !

I love their meatballs. I have no idea why or if anyone else thinks they are good. But Lord I do love them.
