I was at the game last night. The things that I really liked was the shooting and hustle. I loved that we pressed the entire game. We didn't let up just because it was a 50 point game. We were using the court time to get better. I think this is a deep team so we should be able to press 40 minutes a game every game without too much problem.
If I had to put a guess on SEC record I'd say somewhere in the 6-9 wins range. Improvement, but the SEC is stacked so it's not going to be all smooth sailing.
This team is veteran. Looking at the roster you see a ton of Jr's, Sr's, and Grad Sr's. I'm hoping that presence will be good when times get tough.

I agree. The key to how many wins in the SEC is how well we handle pressure, which will be a whole team effort. Hopefully that is what we are spending the most time on.
Once we get past that pressure our offense will keep us in a lot of games. Last year we would struggle at times to get past the pressure but have little to offer on offense beyond KJ.
Defense and defensive rebounding are still questions until we play stronger competition. We should be stronger defensively this year just based on individual talent, but obviously the games will tell.
Bottom line: I think we improved depth, improved guard play even without Cook, and our offense is greatly improved, a true threat that teams will have to defend by extending pressure and trying to force turnovers.
