Hayfield lot may be iffy with all of the rain we are expecting.

Wear a Joe Burrow Ohio State jersey if you're looking to ruffle some feathers. don't be afraid if you ruffle any because only losers care about what school "owns" an athlete.

That would be an amazing coincidence haha. Are you from my area?

Where do you currently live? That will be the dead giveaway for me. Not still in Ohio, right?

If yall are looking for some fun Friday I'd say try and do dinner tomorrow at Chimes. It will be crowded but they have a bar area to hang till your table is ready.

Afterward Ivars is a good bar for mid 30's. Not sure where yall are staying. If you are downtown there are bars down there. Closer to campus or off I-10 I like the idea of Ivars or Uncle Earls. Uber if you plan to drink. Uber will be tougher on gameday but not impossible. Walk away from the stadium to pick it up. Contraflow doesn't allow anyone to get close to the stadium after the game.

On gameday get out to tailgate before noon for sure. Park at a free lot or pay a church $20. Walk around with either a daquiri (I get rednecks from Zippys Its a frozen whiskey/coke) or some beer, but you should find plenty of people willing to feed you and serve you as long as you are fun and nice.

Also, I noticed you said you like to fit in and not ruffle feathers, but I'd highly suggest yall just wear your teams gear... LSU fans really like to impress out-of-towners and prove our tailgating is the best. Wearing LSU gear will not be as fun as wearing your teams gear. Just be respectful. Obviously coming to see Tiger Stadium is enough for most to want to show you a great time.

Definitely get there early for march down Victory Hill. Tell people yall are from Ohio and excited to try Louisiana food and experience LSU tailgates. We're proud to show 1st timers our food. You will get hooked up. Going to be a great night game and we hate UF so it should be loud.

Good luck hope yall have a great time!

You'll wanna show up early and see the band come down victory hill, that's always pretty cool.

If you show up early you get to LSU a long time before the band comes down the Hill

That's what I keep telling my dad, but he doesn't believe me. He lives in North Carolina though, so a different sport that just started takes priority there.

Make sure to look up Times of Interests for Game Day. Here is a link

Times of Interest - Florida Game

For parking, I would suggest free parking by UHigh. You can walk to the stadium from there (about a mile), but you can walk to Chimes/Varsity for pregame, around the parade grounds (fraternity tailgates) and generally anywhere around campus. Show up on campus around 11 a.m. and start at Chimes and just walk from tailgate to tailgate. If it rains, you can hang out at the Varsity (behind Chimes) during the rain.

Wear raingear, based upon the forecast. Try to be around the stadium around 3:30 p.m. You can walk in the PMAC (the basketball arena right next to Tiger Stadium) and watch the baseball team get their National Championship rings at 4:30 p.m. on the PMAC. Don't miss the Tiger Walk by the team or the Band going down Victory Hill.

Have a great time.

Our group tries to blend is as best as possible so we don’t ruffle local feathers. One of our guys is unfortunately a Michigan fan. He didn’t do any advanced scouting of the LSU tailgate situation like we’d expect.

Wear your team's logos for sure. (Michigan ohio whatever) if you can dress like the michigan spy that would be a hit.

Just don't wear Florida's

Like others said, park at University High School off of Dalrymple Drive or Law School.
Walk by some of the frat houses towards the parade grounds (bell tower), cut through the Quad to Indian Mounds area and from there walk around Tiger Stadium, Mike the Tiger’s home and towards parking lot south of the stadium where Motorhomes are tailgating. You will see tailgate set ups tents, converted box trucks, etc., probably see someone cooking a whole gator (small one). Plenty of booze and food folks will share with you. All the frats hang out at the Parade Grounds so that gets a little rank and I would not hang there too long. Have fun.

Did you happen to be in Gainesville for this same game last season? 6 rows up from the field behind the Tiger bench? There was a group of guys right behind us on one of these trips and the one I talked to was a Buckeye.

I wanted to thank everyone who responded here for the guidance. We are in Baton Rouge and excited for tomorrow. If you see 4 lost northerners in Hawaiian LSU shirts, and 1 tall buckeye, say hello and let’s have a beer!
