Yes he will. JD will wave the middle finger at all of those who “opt out”. He’s a football player.

As a fan, I want him to play.

I understand if he won’t

I also think It ought to be the coaches decision and it’d be nice if he played first series and the coach pulls him with a big round of applause…

If we were in the college football playoffs, Id have a different opinion on this question.

With us most likely playing in the hot cheeto or orange fanta bowl, I’ll support his decision.

I saw and spoke with him earlier today at Costco and he said to be sure to tell jeauxbleaux that he will play unless something unforeseen comes about.

Now put your mind at ease.

NOPE.... Neither will Nabors or B. Thomas.... and what sucks is they'll probably be playing Notre Dame. So we'll have to hear all the BS after they win...

He will honestly stand absolutely nothing to gain by playing. But if he wants to, I would enjoy watching him one more time.

There’s so much shyt he can gain by playing in the bowl game. He’s a fifth year senior but basically a one year wonder to alot of folks. No it’s not that serious but all of the below are attainable.
Lsu records
SEC records
NCAA records
Impress the NFL draft world for himself and teammates

But why? Is winning a championship in college worth costing a player millions of dollars in the NFL?? NOTHING in college is worth costing you millions in your professional field. Possibly multi-millions. Which is why I don’t understand this logic.

Not arguing - honest question: IF he balls out on national tv against a quality team with scouts and NFL execs watching, why wouldn’t that help his case / move him up 10 spots in the draft etc? Some will say protecting himself for the combine is too important but hell man, no scout needs to time him in the 40 to know JD5 is fast - they can see he is “football fast”

If he wins the Heisman, who cares if he plays in the bowl game? His NFL draft value is solid and another great showing in a bowl won't help.

I would like to see him play two more great games before the trip to NY so he wins it.

He stands to gain at least $6 million (difference between a mid-20s pick and the top 10).

No, and he shouldn’t.

You’re wrong. He’s already said he’s playing in the bowl game, and Jim Nagy from the Senior Bowl has confirmed he’s accepted their invitation to participate and play.

I'm guessing he doesn't play in the bowl game and Nuss gets his first start. Especially if he doesn't win the Heisman.

Hopefully he has already made that call to Lloyds of London and will play.
