Kelly will absolutely have to convince Maason and Wingo both to stay. With Wingo's injury, that could push him back to the 4th or 5th.

Had he not been injured and continued his level of play, he could have been a second or 3rd round guy.

Smith, on potential alone would probably be a 4th or 5th round guy as well.

Anyone that has been around for any amount of time however, knows that we have had A LOT of underclassmen declare for the draft too early over the years, get taken in the later rounds and flame out within a few years.

I just hope that with NIL, and the example the Daniels has set this year by coming back is enough to convince these guys that its really in their best interest to stay.

Specifically if Smith and Wingo both stay, that will go a long way towards our defense becoming a strength next year, as opposed to the weakness it was this year.

Wingo not being 100% for the combine will be what gets him back on campus. He has a lot to gain by coming back.

No idea about Maason. I feel like he will be a guy that could blow up with a good combine. He will be a harder pull imo.
