It's hard to imagine why the Republican Party keeps losing ground.

Some..not all and like most personality traits there is a spectrum. Just curious...why is it a trait that you like in leaders?

I don't really know how anyone could honestly deny this.

That's exactly what Trump is.

The only people Trump wants to be an authoritarian to the people employed by the federal government, you know the people who work for him when he is president. Last time they thought they had the right to resist him when he was elected to clean them out.

And by "details," you mean actual policies and positions on policies instead of just being caustically amusing (which Trump is also.)

Trump did two important things in his presidency. He rolled back federal regulations in several industries and he appointed (for the most part) constitutional judges. These are important things and I am grateful that he did them. Even though the executive orders rolling back the regs were immediately reversed by Biden.

That said, the average Trumpanzee judges the man based on what he said instead of what he was actually willing/able to do.

When that's your criteria, sure, he was the best ever.

Populist narcissist, ok I won’t contest that. Authoritarian, we all know that’s an unfounded smear that he learned from democrats.

Paul Ryan is a creation of the Racine Cabal.

Hahaha you think trotting out a Paul Ryan statement is gonna help your cause?!?!?

Paul Ryan is why the Republicans lost the House in 2018, not because of Donald Trump.

This is what I don't understand. Trump couldn't roll back Obama's EO's (mainly the "Dreamer" EO) without congressional approval according the the USSC, but Biden could roll back Trump's with the stroke of a pen.

What a jerkoff. He is not good enough to get elected, and neither were turd sandwiches Cheney and Kinzinger. This despite Cheney's tremendous legacy in politics.

Paul Ryan still thinks republicans should vote, on demand, for whatever RINOS they decide are running in the location.

I guess I'm one of those "Trumpanzees" (IDK), but I'll say this.

He was NOT allowed to Govern like Presidents before him.

Before he took the oath of office, he was threatened with impeachment and for months he was facing daily threats of "if you fire Faucci we will impeach you" from the Left and some on the Right.

I only wish he was given the same chance to govern like other Presidents before him so we would have a good idea of what sort of Leader he really was.

I'll ask it again slowly: What...did...Trump...do...that...was...authoritarian? Did he sic the DOJ/IRS on his political opponents? Did he have his political opponents locked up in jail? Is he a party to the suppression of free speech in this country? Did he threaten and call his political opponents threats to democracy? What exactly did he do to earn the "authoritarian" moniker?

I dont care if Trump is a republican, democrat, independent, narcist, or culture warrior.

His policies were much better than pedojoe. Strong economy, energy independent, low food\fuel prices, far less illegal immigration.
