Dude, they’re fans. Fans by defition are not rational, and I’m definitely a fan. You just have to parse through it with a grain of salt. I live 1300 mile away, so I look for information even though I know a good bit of it is hysteria and bullshite. The same reason I still look at my X (Twitter) feed. I know it’s mostly bullshite but the Narrative Nexus of ESPN etc. is even worse. And I still watch them too. I can’t help myself.
