ow that the Colorado Supreme Courthas set the precedent for removing former President Donald Trump from the ballot in that state, Secretary of State Shirley Weber should take action to do the same in the Golden State, according to a letter written by Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis on Wednesday.
“I am prompted by the Colorado Supreme Court’s recent ruling that former President Donald Trump is ineligible to appear on the state’s ballot as a presidential candidate due to his role in inciting an insurrection in the U.S. Capitolon Jan. 6, 2021. This decision is about honoring the rule of law in our country and protecting the fundamental pillars of our democracy,” Kounalakis wrote in the letter.
Kounalakis praised the Colorado Supreme Court’s Anderson v. Griswold ruling.
“California must stand on the right side of history. California is obligated to determine if Trump is ineligible for the California ballot for the same reasons described in Anderson. The Colorado decision can be the basis for a similar decision here in our state. The Constitution is clear: You must be 35 years old and not be an insurrectionist,” she wrote.

The Supreme Court should smack them all down.

My question is why is it a nominees responsibility to spend money on fighting this and not the parties?

My question is who cares if he is on the ballot in states he probably won't win anyway?

Down Ballot races.
These assholes are telling us who we can and cannot vote for.
Can you not see where this Country is headed?

Are there any black people in California (and Colorado) who really want to vote for Trump?
Wouldn’t this be direct evidence of voter suppression and racism?

Doesn't matter if the opposition party doesn't see it and join the fight, now does it? They're willing to throw all those races to get Trump?

Yeah, your big brain figured out that other Democrat states would follow Colorado.
I don’t understand why Trump hasn’t hired you.

They are trying to impact the primary.
Take away delegates for California and a few other states and you have a brokered convention.
This has been discussed for a long time.

Insurrection, they love to lie.

This is about the ballot for the Primaries, not the General Election.

The Colorado ruling was a test, and the nation failed. A man who has not been charged, tried, or convicted of leading an insurrection was taken off the ballot for the partisan option that he did. Nevermind the 14th Amendment doesn’t even apply to him, as it’s written. Now, every blue state in the Union will follow suit.
But, what will the end result be? How many libertarians and moderates will see that Trump is being politically persecuted? He is being victimized. Look at how his popularity skyrocketed AFTER his mug shot.

Who cares if Hamas is shooting rockets off. They’re not hitting their targets. Let’s wait until they kill 1500 civilians at a concert.
Take Biden off the ballot in Oklahoma Louisiana Texas Arkansas Mississippi Alabama Florida TODAY. He has clearly violated the 14th amendment on the border alone
