I always hate when people try to rank players all time but he has to be up there. I admit I didn’t pay a lot of attention before I was born but since I’ve been alive I don’t know who else you would pick?

If you’re too young to have seen him at LSU go watch his games here on YouTube, you won’t be disappointed. When he was winning titles in LA he was 340-360lbs, at LSU he was between 286 and 294lbs, he could run and move like nobody else anywhere near his size. It was truly amazing to witness.

Cookie Man was pretty good. Although not sure he played center or forward.
But yes the Best was Shaq. He was immature at LSU or LSU would have won 2 NC with him.

Coached by legendary Coach Will Wade
Oh wait he wasn't
Dale Brown was a much better coach

I think Petit played center at LSU, but I could be wrong. He was pretty good too.

Shaquille
Was so good that the SEC home office encouraged the refs to let opponents mug Shaq in ridiculous ways with no calls. Shaq had bruises on bruises after each game.
One game Shaq had his shorts almost pulled completely off. The no calls were completely absurd at times.

Is this a real question?

Shaq was physically dominating due to his size. Very raw, most of his points were scored in the paint. Averaged 21 pts and 13 rebounds per game. I’ll give Shaq 1A.
As Bob Pettit is a close 1B. Averaged 27 pts and 14 rebounds per game at LSU. Led the Tigers to the 1953 Final Four and carried the team on his back. Dominated the boards and had a smooth jump shot from the perimeter. Played both positions F/C and more polished than Shaq.
During his Sr. year, Pettit averaged 31.4 pts and 17.3 rebounds/ game. Dude was a stud during different era of basketball.

Did you ever see Andrew Del Piero in action?

Did anyone else shatter 2 backboards in a single game? I don’t know. But I saw Shaq do that.
