My ol coonass (no pun intended) uncle's neighbor had one. When I was a kid we would love going over there to play with it. He had a pen behind his house where he kept it.
As others mentioned, when it got older it got really mean., One day it bit one of that man's grandkids, he shot it out in the backyard later that day.
