Great! We need someone to celebrate the other team's 5 yard gain!

You guys are something. This is a good thing we can’t afford to lose any DB’s.

Didn't he have a neck injury a couple of years back? May be why he wears the neck roll

I like his effort, I don’t like his showboating after making a tackle 15-20 yards down field or after tackling a WR on a long completion.

Well there's still time to improve under new coach or transfer.

No kidding! The leading tackler from the bowl is returning, and no one else even came close to Burns in tackles. You can’t blame the kid for having terrible coaches.

Glad he is coming back. I refuse to bash a player after they had to deal with what was literally the worst defensive coaching staff in history.

Looking forward to see how he develops with actual coaching with an actual scheme.

Good luck to him but LSU has to be much getter at safety next year

I agree. That's why both DB coaches are gone. I like Burns near the LOS, just not deep in coverage. Hopefully, he's lights out next year with a new safety coach.

I have a feeling he's going to be passed up if we get a DC that's not inept and goes against CBK's old ways of forcing upperclassmen over better young players.

Burns cannot cover anything and he seems to make most of his tackles after huge gains down the field and against slower or smaller players. We need to get back to the Adams, Delpit, and Taylor level. There's much better talent behind him.

I predict that he'll be riding the bench by mid October in 2024.

At least he’s hanging in. Credit for that.

Also take that damn neck roll off.

You are aware that he had a neck injury that kept him out of five games last season, right?

The worst LSU safety I’ve ever seen. Dude misses a tackle or gets burned then gets up and runs his damn mouth like he’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Yeah. It’s dumb to dump on a kid coming back to help the team.
While he doesn’t look like a great player, I’m withholding judgement until we see how he does with a real DC.

And let’s not act like we’ve never seen a guy who looked awful turn around, improve and have a monster season the following year.

I’m happy to have all experienced players back on the team.
