Who is better between Blake Sims and Jalen Milroe?

It really comes down to Sims had a much better OC/QB coach. Based on that, I'd take our 2015 semifinals qb vs the 2024 one.

Harbough has done a great job at Michigan after he had a rough start.

But it's pretty doggone obvious that Kirby is the #1 coach in college right now.

You don't pass up the GOAT by going a combined 2-6 vs them.

Right. He's obviously done a great job at GA, and if he had won the SEC Championship this past year, perhaps you could say that it looks like the tide (no pun intended) is turning. But as it stands right now, Saban is still tGOAT and still reigning king (as much as it pains me to say it).

What he has done at Michigan is already amazing. 3 straight games over Ohio State and 3 straight Big Ten titles.
how much of that is bc of cheating though?

Cheating which resulted in having video tape of opposing teams’ signals? The same exact end results of opposing teams’ staff sharing the same said Michigan signals? The only difference is that a low level Michigan coaching staffer to obtain opposing teams’ signals while other teams utilized high level coaching staffs to collude and share identical information… Sure…

I think the thread title premise is a bit much. Yeah, he turned Michigan around, beats OSU, wins Big Ten titles and now a natty. But that doesn't put him ahead of Saban or Kirby in college. He's a savant, turned around multiple college programs, won at a high level in the NFL, etc., etc., but in the college football fishbowl, he's still behind. He would have to stay at Michigan and keep winning to cement his place over Kirby and especially Saban.

He almost had an opportunity to join the elite Super Bowl + NC club which I honestly believe makes a person one of the best coaches ever. Now we wait to see if he decides to pursue it once more.

Harbaugh is only 3-5 vs Ohio State.

John Cooper was 2-10-1 vs Michigan when Jim Tressel took over Ohio State.
Tressel proceeded to go 9-1 vs Michigan & won a national title in his 2nd year.
That's far more impressive than Harbaugh taking 6 years to beat his rival & 8 years to get to a title game.

Amen!

Harbaugh does prove that some coaches absolutely can get it done if the fan base and administration can have some patience.
